The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recently updated Department of Transportation (DOT) physical regulations, now requiring all DOT physical providers to be trained and certified in FMCSA standards. Providence Medical has a FMCSA-certified medical provider at its locations from 9 am – 5 pm daily, including Saturdays. Walk-ins are welcome.

What to expect during your DOT physical exam at Providence:

• Reviewing your medical history
• Taking your vital signs
• Checking your vision (using Snellen eye chart)
• Checking for hearing issues (using Whisper test, / Audiometer)
• Testing general physical abilities (range of motion, limbs, breathing, etc.)
• A urine test to check for specific gravity, and presence of protein, sugar or blood
• A drug test is upon request by Employer and only performed by MO
